 On My Mind Today ...and TGIF ~!

Have you typed your 100,000 plus characters today?

TGIF, lemme tell ya. It has been one long week. I have been getting the samples I need in a more timely fashion, and even though I typed more psychological reports this week than medical, at least I got 40 hours in and a job~! so many people are struggling, its everywhere.

In my 8-hour day, I will average typing anywhere from 100,000 characters up to 130,000 characters which is about my average of 217 to 230 lines an hour. In my line of work, the minimal requirement is 150 lines per hour. Sometimes depending on who you type, you are lucky to get 150 lines an hour, especially if it is a hard foreign doctor or even some who aren't who just pause during their reports because they are unprepared to dictate them and jump all over the place trying to make formatting virtually impossible.

Today my character count of 128, 220, was 13 disability reports, and while that doesn't sound like a lot of reports, when you include the fact that this is straight typing with every keystroke counted (with some dictated reports as long as 18 minutes which will take you at least twice a long to type, or up to 3x depending on the dictator's quirks) it is really astronomical, and trust me I feel it physically, too. It is draining mentally too, and unless a certain report stands out in my mind, I forget everything I typed once my day is over.

Try multiplying this character count times 5 to get basically an idea estimate on just how many times my hands/fingers hit this keyboard a week, and by the days end and especially by the week's end I am totally worn out, folks. Occasional hunt and peckers at my keyboard, which is a separated keyboard into right and left hand usage, complain because they cannot see the letters, as I have worn them off ~! Go figure.

So, tell me what's going on around the blog block? I'm ready for a glass of wine and throwing my feet up on the sofa. I can't believe out of all these icons there is not a tired one in the bunch; there's sleepy ones; what I need is a tired, haggard one. I'll be back in later.

chat taken down! it was fun, thanks guys~!

sometimes I'll find a picture and looking at it, I hear a song playing, which is the case here.
I know sounds stupid, but it just seems fitting.

yep, music's been sent to the comment section~! let's see what do I want to listen to ... hmmmmm...got a request?

Sometimes you have to wonder which cause you stand for, and what really is of significance, not just in your own personal life, and take a bigger look at the world around you. Click the Feed Me, Feed Me Link on my list, and while you're at it, go to Miss Lou's too.

See yuns after while.

 You Gossip Mongers~!

Photobucket

Yes, at any given time, any blogger could be gossiped about, watch out! It's a Peyton Place around here.

Secret, I noticed you popped in at lunch, sorry about the post, but it is a woman's prerogative to change her post mind isn't it?

Sherry, did you read about ... Scratch's latest plight? He says he has had a few bad experiences at the pawn shop, personally I find the pawn shop a great source, especially for good jewelry finds! ...and poor, poor Tab, do you think he's recuperated from his vacation? Dalpha where are you? She travels so much I can't keep up with her.

Let's see what else is going around the blog block?

Anybody got any juicy gossip? Got any news they want to share? Any new blogs out there to read? I am enjoying lagirl's sense of humor which is quite refreshing, and I'm trying to think of questions for Ms. Belle.

As for me, work is keeping me rather busy~!

Here's last week's Blog Fever song widget (1st Edition) made up of songs from all of you guys who posted music! btw, Prank ... I could not find the Captain Beefheart song you posted so I picked out one or two of his with the Magic Band! oh and I liked Buddy Hackett's version of Shapoopie, is that right Azron? Anyway tonight, Lemongrass just wasn't doing it for me. I wanted a variety. Hope everybody has a good evening!

 Rate This Song, Ya'll ...

I have been listening to a music widget I made and I really loved the rendition of "Sunny" by Steve Raybine, however, trying to find this artist or song at Imeem was fruitless.

Good God, Ya'll this is what I found.

song moved to the comment section. If you'd like to rate it, be my guest.
Let's rate this record! LOL

gimme a show of thumbs

5 = 'Love It'
4 = 'Do I Have to Listen?'
3 = 'You're Kidding, Right?"
2 = "I'm nauseous!"
1 = "Bury It"

Don't hold back now.  I'm not.  sorry JB.

Got a favorite artist who sings a rendition of this song?

 Church Funnies ...

Photobucket

(A quaint little church in Pleasureville, Ky)

An elderly woman died last month. Having never married, she requested no male pallbearers. In her handwritten instructions for her memorial service, she wrote, "They wouldn't take me out while I was alive, I don't want them to take me out when I'm dead."

Some of you probably heard the story of a preacher who got up one Sunday and announced to his congregation: "I have good news and bad news. The good news is, we have enough money to pay for our new building program. The bad news is, it's still out there in your pockets."

A Sunday school teacher asked the children just before she dismissed them to go to church, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?"

Annie replied, "Because people are sleeping." Ain't it the truth?

Here are a few church bulletin board bloopers/typos, which I thought were hilarious.

The rosebud on the altar this morning is to announce the birth of David Alan Belzer, the sin of Reverend and Mrs. Julius Belzer.

The eighth-graders will be presenting Shakespeare's Hamlet in the church basement on Friday at 7 p.m. The congregation is invited to attend this tragedy.

During the absence of our pastor, we enjoyed the rare privilege of hearing a good sermon when J.F. Stubbs supplied our pulpit.

Diana and Don request your presents at their wedding. (talk about the wrong word form~!)

The outreach committee has enlisted 25 visitors to make calls on people who are not afflicted with any church.

At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be "What is Hell?". Come early and listen to our choir practice.

The choir invites any member of the congregation who enjoys sinning to join the choir.

Hymn: "I Love Thee My Ford."

The church will host an evening of fine dining, superb entertainment, and gracious hostility.

Okay one more … Ushers will eat latecomers. Guess you’d better get there early!
