This is a test ... this is only a test ...

Remember this interruption? with the irritating sound and someone saying ~ This is a test of the emergency broadcast system ... this is only a test ... the broadcasters in your area along with FCC and local autorities have developed this test to keep you informed in the event of an emergency ... blah . blah ...

Well, one of my favorite posters used to say, "Life is a test. It is only a test; had this been a real life you would have been instructed where to go and what to do." When I think of that silly bit of wisdom, it reminds me not to take my life so seriously.

I betcha know people who seem serious all the time, act as if they forget to smell the coffee, probably never do anything spontaneously, and you seldom see them laugh! Some need just to breathe, slow down and relax, and of course count their blessings! know somebody who has a drama going 24/7! and their life is a total mess! We all have problems in our lives, some big and seemingly unsurmountable at times, and some small, all requiring a challenge from us to get over the hurdle and maybe learn something from it huh? Sometimes a change is in order! Clean house of your emotional baggage, and learn to roll with the punches!

Today is Monday, and anything can happen, and probably will! good, bad, or ugly! so have a good one ya'll!

 My Love,

As I linger on the rocks looking out across the ocean, I can feel the salty spray gathering on my skin and think to myself what a wonderful glorious fantastic delicious day. I can feel the warmth of the sun beaming down on my face, the delicate scent of lilacs is lingering in the air, and I am so in love.

The world is truly accurate when they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder for my longings for you have grown steadily with each passing day. The memories of your smell, your touch and your playful laughter fill each day. This day has been as all the others before it ~ waiting ~ filled with longing for you.

The morning breeze tosses my hair as the hypnotizing waves make me wonder if you are standing on a sandy beach looking back at me. You whose pen strikes a fire in my soul, the one I ache to walk on the beach with hand in hand, to playfully touch your skin and run my hands through your silky hair, such a delicious thought.

My head leans back and my body arches as I raise my hands skyward and feel the breeze encase my skin, as if your outstretched arms are caressing me. The swirling puffs of air causes my clothing to wrap around me as though you are holding me close. I close my eyes and feel you standing behind me, your gentle touch moving up and down my sides, your hands warm and loving, and I shudder with wanting.

I wait patiently. Where are you, my love?

Happy Sunday everybody. I'm just taking my mind on little vacation, and changing the music station. Enjoy your day.

 Welcome to Bella's Saturday Night~

The Grass Roots ...

From left to right: Warren Entner, Rick Coonce, Dennis Provisor, Rob Grill

In the entire history of Rock n' Roll; only 9 bands (including The Beatles) have charted more hits on Billboard's Hot 100 than The Grass Roots.

They hold the all-time attendance record for a one act U.S. concert of 600,000 people on July 4th, 1982 in Washington, DC.

During a 6-year period (1967-1972) The Grass Roots set a record for being on the Billboard charts an unbelievable 307 straight weeks and have sold over 20 million records worldwide.

The Grass Roots had a series of major hits -- most notably "Let's Live for Today," "Midnight Confessions," "Temptation Eyes" and "Two Divided by Love" -- that help define the essence of the era's best AM radio. Although the group's members weren't even close to being recognizable, and their in-house songwriting was next to irrelevant, the Grass Roots managed to chart 14 Top 40 hits, including seven gold singles and one platinum single, and two had hits collections that effortlessly went gold. The group's history is also fairly complicated, because there were at least three different groups involved in the making of the songs identified as being by "the Grass Roots."

 It's Friday NIght ... Where's the Party?

Can you help Julie?

Julie is going on an extended trip for three weeks. She lives in a remote area where there are frequent electrical power outages which can last up to three or four days. Julie has quite a bit of food in her freezer which would go bad if it thawed and then re-froze. She does have digital clock and a VCR which would flash 12:00 if the power went out. Unfortunately the clock and VCR flash even if the power only goes out for a few seconds. What can Julie do so that when she returns home she will be able to determine whether the power was out long enough to thaw her food? Asking a neighbor whether the power was out, isn’t a reliable option because the nearest house is half a mile away, and one house may have power, while another house may have no power. She won?t be able to have a neighbor check on her house every day, and has no one to house sit.

So, what should she do?

Have a couple of martini's or glasses of wine and try sputtering this! ha! My daughter and I were on a site going through some silly stuff, and we came across this. We laughed and giggled through the whole thing!

Sally sells seashells by the seashore.
The shells Sally sells surely won’t sail
But since Sally sells sea shells and not ship sails,
Surely she’ll sell all the shiny sea shells she’s soon shipping on sale.
