We follow our flags,
We fight to survive,
I weep when the light of life
fades from your eyes.

We care for our fallen,
We look to the sky,
We ask God the question,
Why do we have to die?

We are so much alike
in courage and fear,
It's hard to remember
just what brought us here.

When battle is done and angel choirs sing,
We can only hope it was an honorable thing.

 Ol' Blue

PhotobucketA young cowboy from Wyoming goes off to college, but half way through the semester, he has foolishly squandered all his money.

He calls home. 'Dad,' he says, 'You won't believe what modern education is developing! They actually have a program here in Laramie that will teach our dog, Ol' Blue how to talk!'

'That's amazing,' his Dad says. 'How do I get Ol' Blue in that program?'

'Just send him down here with $1,000' the young cowboy says. 'I'll get him in the course.'

So, his father sends the dog and $1,000.

About two-thirds through the semester, the money again runs out. The boy calls home.

'So how's Ol' Blue doing son,' his father asks.

'Awesome, Dad, he's talking up a storm,' he says, 'but you just won't
believe this - they've had such good results they have started to teach the animals how to read!'

'Read!' says his father, 'No kidding?! How do we get Blue in that
program?'

Just send $2,500, I'll get him in the class.'

The money promptly arrives. But our hero has a problem. At the end of
the year, his father will find out the dog can neither talk, nor read. So he shoots the dog.

When he arrives home at the end of the year, his father is all excited. 'Where's Ol' Blue? I just can't wait to see him read something and talk!'

'Dad,' the boy says, 'I have some grim news. Yesterday morning, just
before we left to drive home, Ol' Blue was in the living room, kicked back in the recliner, reading the Wall Street Journal, like he usually does.

Then he turned to me and asked, 'So, is your daddy still messing' around with that little redhead who lives in town?'

The father exclaimed, 'I hope you shot that son of a biscuit eater before he talks to your Mother!'

'I sure did, Dad!'

'That's my boy!'

poor Ol'Blue.

Double The Pleasure, Double the Fun!

Ah, tonight is the night I have to give myself a B12 injection with that big long assed 1 inch needle right in the thigh! yikes! I know you feel for me, dontcha? ... I am also going to have a cervical spine MRI done at 6:45 p.m.! My doc thinks I might have some pinched nerves causing muscle inflammation and pain that meds are pretty much useless in relieving, and perhaps causing my hands to also sting at the same time this flares up! This neck pain throbs and aches, and burns, and burns and burns! try working 8 hours with a flare up of that! grrrrr!

So, iffin' yuns stopped by Bella-2 and enjoyed putting a caption to that picture over there! here ya go, more of the same ole, same ole! and yeah, I know some of you have seen this first one, worth a repeat!

 Follow That Crack to Salvation!

PhotobucketA little girl, dressed in her Sunday best, was running as fast as she could, trying not to be late for Bible class. As she ran she prayed, "Dear Lord, please don't let me be late! Dear Lord, please don't let me be late!"

While she was running and praying, she tripped on a curb and fell, getting her clothes dirty and tearing her dress. She got up, brushed herself off, and started running again. As she ran she once again began to pray, "Dear Lord, please don't let me be late...But please don't shove me either!"

A Sunday school teacher asked the children just before she dismissed them to go to church, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?"

Annie replied, "Because people are sleeping."

Ain’t it the truth! Ain’t it the truth!

A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "honor thy father and thy mother," she asked,"Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?"

Without missing a beat one little boy answered, "Thou shall not kill."

and last but not least, a Little Johnny joke ..

At Sunday School they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs. Later in the week his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and said, "Johnny, what is the matter?"

Little Johnny responded, "I have pain in my side. I think I'm going to have a wife."

Have a great Sunday evening! Big Thanks to everybody who came out last night and posted music! There were some great tunes floating around and interesting reads!
