Bella's Gotta Brand New Blog
Saturday June 28, 2008
Are we throwing a wild party over here? You guys let me know what you want to do! I'll put up links and hang out if you will! I have no idea what I am putting up until it gets here, folks~! and here it is! and who knows this might be subject to change depending on this mood of mine! I'm ready to kick ass and take names later with Old Skool Funk & Junk~!
and here's a word from our sponsor, Yours Truly ...
I will never understand the obsession some of you people have with taking and copying other people’s comments off their blogs and taking them to stir up a shit pot on your blog. I should think real life had something to offer you but obviously some of you have way too much time on your hands, and an axe to grind over the least little thing? Anyway, it’s not like I really care … I have nothing to hide, never did … and while I don’t understand the obsession over me and Johnny P, or my supposed talking to myself on his blog, I do think that is laughable, and perhaps shows how out of touch some of you people are with reality?! Johnny P's blog and Bella's Blog are two separate individuals, that is not my blog (He's a very creative and interesting guy) but don't take my word for it, ask Johnny P! He would probably tell you troublemakers to go screw yourselves! My suggestion is that you still go out and howl at the moon or get a real life?! Are you that starved for a little blog attention? good grief!

Sunrise's Kiss 6/18/08
Penetrating the early morning darkness with amber rays unyielding
Night is encouraged to give way to the beckoning sounds of a new days promise unfolding
Faint whispers echo through the stale morning air stirring lovers from dreams warm embrace
Sunrise's kiss is shared between them moments become frozen as thoughts and passions reign as one Fragrances of the maiden dance upon the wind mesmerizing those with a melody pleasant to hear
Summoning courage from within corridors of both mind and soul, joining his hand to her lips.
Dawn’s early reply to the question posed by night’s late arrival is answered by both thought and deed.
Together swimming upon the waves of loves sweet release, following the incoming tides of life’s final reward.

How YOU doin'? While my every day site has changed to blogger, I will continue the Saturday Night thing over here if you guys want to.
I have this online acquaintenance friend on Imeem who opened up a "Buddha Bar" group to showcase his uploaded Buddha Bar CDs into some great playlists over there. I really enjoy listening to them, and hanging out on my other music sites, checking out other people's playlists, and well...ya'll know I love my music! LOL While I've been a little absent here lately, I know there are some of you who really enjoy the interaction here on Saturdays, me included! and as always you are welcome at my Blogger site as well.
Holla back!
The Buddha Bar is a Paris hot spot for nightlife ~
located at 8/12, rue Boissy d'Anglais - 75008 PARIS
the above picture is from inside this place, it looks huge! Below are some reviews by a few people who have been there. any of you been here?
The most amazing bar aesthetically! The bar is in a circular deck with low level candle lighting and dark wood. Comfy couches and chairs are difficult to come by but I got lucky. In the background enchanting asian/new-age techno plays. You can look down on the giant Buddha that sits aside from the dinner area which is downstairs. It is a very romantic place but space and low level lighting makes it difficult to have a conversation. Great martinis for 18 euros!?
Definitely dress up for this bar!
Amazing place with good food & drinks, and a fantastic ambiance, with a big Buddha statue looking at you. Sophisticated, dark, lit by candles, exclusive music (they have their own cool music and sell their own CDs, of which this list is comprised!)
Buddha Bar has received mixed reviews, as some believe it to be full of tourists, but others love the atmosphere and the music. I belong to the latter group! Buddha Bar, at any time during the week, is filled with a wide variety of people, but always has such an amazing ambience due to the physical beauty of the club/restaurant and the funky music.
You do not have to pay for entry into Buddha Bar, though this can be compensated with the expensive cocktails...it costs 16 euros for a cocktail...which is roughly converted into £12 and $24. What I normally did was buy one drink, enjoy it, and if I wanted to party all night, I found a considerably cheaper bar nearby, which is a viable solution, as it is located in the middle of the city, near place de la concorde! I have not eaten at the restaurant, because I think the prices for dining are astronomical!
Even though it is a very expensive place, I really like Buddha Bar, and if you are in Paris and in the mood for a relaxing drink, it is definitely somewhere I would recommend!
Warning:
It is very difficult to catch a cab home on the weekend, be prepared to wait for a long time, but please don't let this put you off!
Dress code...smart and sexy...so technically jeans and sneakers/trainers are allowed, but they cannot look sporty...
For men, it is best to wear jeans that are one colour (not faded) and preferably shoes as it is more difficult for men to enter.
For women...it is easier for us to enter without any problems, but I think its best if you do not wear sneakers/trainers!
Hope everybody has a great weekend.

Bonnaroo opens with Metallica, Chris Rock
MANCHESTER, Tenn.—The smorgasbord of Bonnaroo began in earnest Friday with a packed slate highlighted by the rarest of double bills: Chris Rock followed by Metallica.
It was to be the first appearance for both at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, held annually south of Nashville on a 700-acre countryside site. Neither is exactly standard fare for the festival, which began in 2002 as primarily a jam band event. But in recent years, Bonnaroo has broadened and drawn a crowd more diverse than just hippies.
Still, how Metallica (a big draw this year) and its black-clad fans would mesh with the festival's laid-back vibe was a big question Friday. Also much-discussed was whether M.I.A., the British electronic dance-hall rapper, would show. She recently canceled her upcoming European tour because of exhaustion from touring, but was still expected to perform her Friday evening set.
The notorious Tennessee heat that has in the past made Bonnaroo a chore was thus far bearable. Thundershowers were expected Friday night and Saturday.
Usually sold-out with an attendance of 80,000, this year's Bonnaroo hadn't yet reached capacity, but was overrun with tens of thousands of fans who came from far and wide to camp through the weekend.
"So is everyone having a nice communal experience?" Vampire Weekend lead singer Ezra Koenig asked the crowd. He later added, with perhaps some sarcasm: "You guys, I'm sure, have a full weekend in store of discovering yourselves and others."

The New York-based indie band Vampire Weekend was part of the relatively thin Thursday night slate that also included several comedians, a tradition of Bonnaroo. Janeane Garofalo and Zach Galifianakis were among those performing in the circus-style comedy tent.
"They asked me if I wanted to perform at Bonnaroo and I said, 'Will there be a circus tent?'" joked Galifianakis.
His comedy often intersects with music; he plays piano during much of his act and he's starred in music videos for Fiona Apple and Kanye West, who's performing late Saturday night at Bonnaroo.
Garofalo said the challenges for a comedian in such an environment can be many.
"Nothing is better for comedy than doing it during the day, having this kind of noise behind you and doing it in a circus tent," she joked.
Also to play Friday were the Raconteurs, Willie Nelson, My Morning Jacket and the Swell Season and the duo of Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard and Czech pianist Marketa Irglova—the stars of the film "Once."
Hansard said he's still adjusting to being the co-winner—along with Irglova—of the Academy Award for best original song ("Falling Slowly" from "Once").
"It's a new personality to try on or a new set of clothes to try on," said Hansard, who was less famous as the lead singer of the Frames. "Everything you've been is basically over. ... Sometimes it feels more comfortable having potential rather than having accreditation."
